MetaSphere Unified Messaging
MetaSphere Unified Messaging (UM) extends the hosted message center concept to your
enterprise customers. It provides a solution for both voice and fax messaging that
offers tight integration with email for maximum convenience and flexibility of access.
Via MetaSphere UM, your subscribers can access voicemails and faxes (in TIFF or PDF format) from any regular
email program or web browser, as well as by phone. This versatility is critical
in today's enterprise business environment, and can significantly improve day-to-day
business productivity.
With MetaSphere UM, voice and fax messages are kept in a single unified store that
provides a consistent view of inbox content and status no matter how messages are
accessed - via telephone, web browser or email application. For example, when a
subscriber has opened all unread voice messages in his or her email application,
the message waiting lamp on the subscriber's phone is automatically reset. While
away from the office, subscribers can stay on top of new incoming messages with
the aid of powerful notification options.
Standards-based and deployed by some of the largest service providers and institutions
worldwide, MetaSphere UM easily integrates with today's leading business tools,
such as Microsoft Outlook and IBM Lotus Notes. In combination with MetaSphere Fusion (FMC), you can deliver a unified mailbox that includes the subscriber's mobile device, regardless of whether or not you have a mobile offering of your own. What's more, you can enable subscribers to access their voicemail mailboxes conveniently from their mobile devices, including the Blackberry and Apple iPhone.
