MPOA Client In An ATM Stack

DC-MPOA Client provides MPOA Client support as defined in the ATM Forum MPOA V1.0 specification.

Functions And Features

DC-MPOA Client includes the following functions.

• Auto-configuration by parameter retrieval from LAN Emulation Configuration Server (LECS)
• Dynamic discovery of MPOA clients and servers using extended LANE Address Resolution Protocol
• Target resolution using MPOA Target Resolution Protocol
• MPOA packet tagging
• Complete connection management for transferring control information and data
• Use of shortcuts for IP packet forwarding
• Support for the MPOA Configuration MIB (and additional MIB tables specific to DC-MPOA Client)
• User exits allowing packet forwarding to be done outside the N-BASE
