The Financial Analyst role at Metaswitch
We have a busy and motivated Finance team responsible for managing all the financial transactions of the Group – consisting of Metaswitch and our various subsidiaries – culminating in the preparation of individual Company and Group Accounts. They are also responsible for reporting management information to the Board and senior Executive Officers.
This role of Financial Analyst is a full time position based in our Enfield headquarters, with occasional travel to our US offices.
We are looking to recruit a Financial Analyst to play a key role in the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. This position will report to the Head of FP&A and will involve working closely with the CFO and CEO, as well as other senior management. A key part of the role will involve working with financial and operational information; gathering, validating, modelling and interpreting the data. In addition, the successful candidate will need to report financial results and explain variances, and work on multiple corporate financial planning and analysis projects across the business.
The Company is currently in the early stages of planning an IPO. The successful candidate will have a significant role to play in the preparation work required for that.
The successful candidate will be an ACA qualified accountant, ideally trained in a top 10 accountancy practice. Academically, you will be degree educated, with a 2.1 or above. You may also:
- have experience working in Finance (any specific FP&A experience will be a bonus)
- have familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
- be bright, articulate and organised
- be analytical and have an exceptional eye for detail
- be positive, willing to learn and confident
- use their initiative and have plenty of common sense
- be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- have knowledge and experience of NetSuite and Adaptive Planning (desirable but not essential).
This role would suit someone from either an audit or Corporate Finance background looking for their first move into industry and commerce.
