Early on I was put in charge of my own team, managing three people,
and responsible for adding various new features to the product. In 2003, there was a real need to increase
our customer support in the US, so I was asked to move out to California. During my time in support,
I visited customers in lots of interesting places, including Guam, a lovely tropical island near the Philippines
(I definitely hit the jackpot on that one!). I then became head of all the Metaswitch support in the central
region of the US, based in San Francisco, managing a team of ten people supporting over 70 customers."
