Minnesota-based Netbriefings is a leading provider of webinar and webcasting services, with customers in a variety of industry sectors including banking, chemicals, software and press relations. The company offers a range of conferencing services tailored to different meeting types and sizes. Netbriefings selected MeetingServer to provide collaborative features within two of its web-based meeting solutions, eConference Pro and eConference Plus.

eConference Pro

The Netbriefings eConference Pro service is aimed at smaller collaborative meetings, and is essentially a straightforward integration of MeetingServer, rebranded to provide Netbriefings' look-and-feel. eConference Pro takes advantage of the reservationless model of MeetingServer to allow its customers to set up ad-hoc meetings.

Building on the collaborative model of eConference Pro, Netbriefings' eConference Plus service is geared towards larger, more formal meetings and webinars, scheduled in advance. It provides the same collaborative power derived from MeetingServer, incorporated within Netbriefings' value-add features, including

flexible customer registration facilities, enabling meeting or webinar organizers to keep track of registered attendees
email notifications for automatic invitations, reminders and meeting follow-ups
online monitoring during the event
powerful statistics tracking to see who attended, when and for how long they watched, whether they attended live or viewed the archive.

MeetingServer Integration

One reason Netbriefings selected MeetingServer was the ease of integration.

Rebranding the web conferencing applications to give a Netbriefings look-and-feel and incorporate its corporate color scheme was an important requirement. For eConference Plus Netbriefings also takes advantage of the ability to rebrand for its own clients.
Most of Netbriefings' customers schedule meetings in advance. Because MeetingServer is invoked from a single URL, it was straightforward to integrate it within Netbriefings' own scheduling mechanism, and with its user authentication and tracking system.
The MeetingServer web conferencing features are used alongside audio conferencing running on Netbriefings' in-house conference bridges.
