MetaSwitch Forum 2009, Las Vegas, NV: April 8, 2009.
Cordell, a leading nationwide provider for alarms, data collection and security interface
software will show its new ISD4000 Platform and GUI Search Software at the MetaSwitch Forum
2009.
Celebrating its 30th year as one of the nation's leading telecommunication monitoring
and traffic management providers, Cordell announced that it has integrated a next generation
network based solution into its new 3rd Generation Platform - the ISD4000 Element Manager.
This new platform gives its server applications more power and flexibility in working with
the MetaSwitch call agent and media gateway to furnish a seamless solution to manage SNMP traps,
automatic traffic data collection using the FireBird™ database software and Security
(SSH and Radius).
The ISD4000 Element Manager will be demonstrated at the MetaSwitch Forum 2009 in Las Vegas
on April 8, 2009. In addition, as a sponsor of the event, Cordell will be hosting a session
entitled "MetaSwitch Alarms, Traffic and Network Security - A Single Seamless Source
Solution" also on April 8.
"The success of the MetaSwitch Forum is based on the collaboration with all our
sponsor companies, such as Cordell Inc., that share our vision for streamlining the transition
to next-generation networking," said Andy Randall, Vice President of Marketing at
MetaSwitch. "Our customers look forward to the annual Expo at the MetaSwitch Forum,
which provides valuable time with our partner companies."
The new, more powerful, ISD4000 with its dual 160GB mirrored drives and larger
Pentium 4 Processor running CENTOS Linux allows a single unit to receive SNMP traps
from multiple MetaSwitch platforms, run the FireBird™ database extraction software
and furnish a platform for network security interface.
While Cordell's applications platform is designed to reduce network operating costs and
facilitate the new services, it can also furnish features such as network recovery (using
its long term storage), security with an interactive capture feature, internal security modems
and an environmental alarm input board.
Sandwich Isles Communications, Inc, (SIC), a rural Local Exchange Carrier serving native
Hawaiian communities throughout the Hawaiian Islands, has built a multi-site next generation
voice network with MetaSwitch and has had a relationship with Cordell since 2004.
Harry Johnston, SIC's Director of Service and Operations, said that Cordell has been a
true partner in supporting the network management aspects of SIC's continuing transition
from a primarily TDM platform to the newer IP-based service platforms and applications.
"We use Cordell as the focal point for network element alarming, after-hours
notifications " environmental conditions trending," says Johnston. "Cordell
support has always been readily available whenever we needed help. We were appreciative
and impressed with Cordell's quick response in helping us develop customized scripts needed
to enhance service-quality management for our particular applications in larger Hosted IP
PBX applications served by our MetaSwitch. The interoperability between Cordell and MetaSwitch
has been a true plus for us", reports Johnston.
