FALL VON 2007, Boston, CA: October 30, 2007.
MetaSwitch today announced several enhancements to its popular MarketVisions program, an
initiative to provide service providers with the tools required to successfully identify market
opportunities, position their offerings and profitably target, sell and support their end-user customers.
The program is ideal for service providers seeking to expand into new regions and new subscriber markets,
as well as provide additional services to an existing customer base.
A key new component of the program is small-to-medium business research, designed to
provide information on market opportunity and competition. MetaSwitch is a lead sponsor of the 7th
small-to-medium business research report by Savatar, a Boston-based management consulting and research
company. The report helps service providers ensure that product offerings and development strategies
are aligned with market demands.
The enhanced MarketVisions program includes additional marketing support for
MetaSwitch's MetaSphere service delivery platform and suite of applications, designed to help service
providers effectively package these services and present them to their customers.
Additional training classes and marketing resources aiming to promote service provider
success in residential markets have also been added to the program, including classes on product features
and consumer marketing. For this phase of the program, Pivot Media LLC, a strategic telecom market
research firm, will join the MarketVisions team of leading experts.
"The market for advanced telephony and IP services continues to rapidly grow as
users demand increasingly diverse and sophisticated services," said Andy Randall, vice president of
marketing for MetaSwitch. "Our objectives continue to center around providing our customers with the
necessary information and resources to deliver next-generation services and we will continue to enrich and
improve the MarketVisions program to enable our service provider customers to be as successful as
possible."
"MetaSwitch's MarketVisions program has given us extensive knowledge and
expertise regarding the markets we serve, as well as robust support, that will enable us to effectively
and rapidly launch new offerings," said Joey Garner, vice president of Operations for TEC, a
privately owned telecommunications firm, with a network of over 25 subsidiaries, including IOCs and IXCs
serving over 60,000 subscribers in the South Central US. "The consulting and resources from MetaSwitch
have been invaluable in providing additional insight in product packaging and sales planning," added
Garner.
The primary components of the program address a particular part of the overall service
introduction process. Based on the service provider's specific needs, this includes support in market
research, product development, marketing communications, sales and customer support. MarketVisions
includes VoIP workshops designed to accelerate revenue growth, a comprehensive public relations program,
and templates for direct marketing opportunities.
The complete MarketVisions program, including enhancements, is currently
available to MetaSwitch customers. Materials and further information are accessible on MetaSwitch's
customer portal website (password required).
