What is Podcasting?
Podcasting is a new form of publishing on the Internet, usually of audio or video files. You can either listen to individual episodes
(Podcasts) or "subscribe" to get regular content updates as they become available. Think of it as like a subscription to a
magazine - or an audio book club.
How can I listen?
You can simply click on the audio file and listen to it on your computer. Alternatively, you can download it to your iPod or other
digital music player, or burn it to a CD for listening in your car or at home. If you subscribe, the download is performed for you
automatically so it's ready for you to listen to at your leisure.
How can I subscribe?
The Podcast publisher (in MetaSwitch's case, PodTech.net) makes a newsfeed available that can be read by any newsreader application
that supports the "RSS" standard. This includes iTunes, Yahoo! Music, iPodder, FeedReader, Mozilla Firefox and many others.
If you are using iTunes, simply click on the iTunes logo on the MetaSwitch Podcasts page. If your browser supports RSS feeds, you can
click on the "RSS" logo. For other newsreader applications, copy the RSS link location into your newsreader.
