Metaswitch announced the appointment of Kevin A. DeNuccio to its Board of Directors. Mr DeNuccio brings a wealth of
knowledge and experience in service provider operations and support to the company.
Currently, Mr DeNuccio is Vice Chairman of Redback Networks, an Ericsson Company, and he also serves as a director on
the board of JDS Uniphase Corp. Formerly, he was President and CEO of Redback for eight years, and oversaw that company's
successful transformation and ultimate acquisition by Ericsson.
"We are honored to have Kevin as part of our team. His knowledge and extensive experience in managing global service
provider operations and corporate strategy will be invaluable as we look to continue Metaswitch's position as a leader in
carrier IP solutions," said Ian Ferguson, Chairman of the Board for Metaswitch. "Kevin is a dynamic, results-driven,
hands-on executive with a proven track record of managing successful domestic and international service provider solutions
companies. We will look to Kevin for advice and guidance as we scale our operations to serve our global customer base."
Prior to leading Redback Networks, Mr DeNuccio was the senior vice president of worldwide service provider operations
at Cisco Systems, where he was responsible for all field activities in the service provider marketplace, representing more
than $4 billion in revenue and over 4,000 employees globally. In addition, he brings direct operating experience as the
founder, president and CEO of Bell Atlantic Network Integration Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Bell Atlantic (now Verizon
Communications).
Mr DeNuccio received a degree in finance from Northeastern University and is a graduate of the Executive MBA program at
Columbia University.
"I am thrilled to be named to the Metaswitch Board of Directors," said Mr DeNuccio. "It is rare to find a
company like Metaswitch, which has created such a solid reputation both in the industry and among its customers. To have the
opportunity to contribute to their future success is therefore both tremendously exciting and a privilege. I look forward to
bringing my experience to the table, and helping Metaswitch reach new heights in the carrier IP communications marketplace."
