Data Connection Completes IS-IS Routing Testing at UNH-IOL Lab
Data Connection's DC-ISIS routing protocol stack successfully passes conformance testing at UNH-IOL test lab
Chicago, IL: June 7, 2005. Data Connection Limited (DCL), the world's
leading independent provider of communications protocol software, today announced
the successful completion of testing of its Intermediate System to Intermediate
System (DC-ISIS) routing code at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability
Laboratory (UNH-IOL).
DC-ISIS is Data Connection's highly portable source code solution that implements
full IS-IS protocol support, including ISO 10589 and RFC 1195. DC-ISIS fits
into the same architectural framework as Data Connection's other IP Routing
protocol products (including DC-OSPF, DC-RIP and DC-BGP) and can be easily integrated
with DC-MPLS to provide a complete control plane solution for routers and switches,
or can be used on its own or with third-party products. Founded in 1981, Data
Connection has been developing portable routing code for a wide range of technologies
for over 20 years.
"The IS-IS protocol is gaining increasing acceptance from service providers
and others, and strong IS-IS code will continue to be crucial for many commercial
networks," said Kari Revier, UNH-IOL IP Routing Consortium Manager. "Data Connection
successfully completed stringent testing to thoroughly validate its code with
the standard in our laboratories."
"UNH's InterOperability Lab is a useful tool for Data Connection. It provides
us with an independent platform to reinforce our commitment to quality and industry
compatibility with our routing customers," said Tim Hall, Vice President,
Data Connection Networking Protocols.
Data Connection is exhibiting at SUPERCOMM 2005, Booth #60046. UNH-IOL will
be exhibiting at Booth # 44089.
