VAvox chooses Data Connection's MeetingServer for best-of-breed web conferencing

London, UK: April 21, 2004. Data Connection today announced that VAvox has chosen MeetingServer as the web conferencing component of its VAvox VQ conferencing solution for the UK education market.

"VAvox VQ is unique because it combines best-of-breed technology from a number of vendors. We chose MeetingServer because of its excellent user experience, robustness and the ease with which it could be integrated tightly into our solution," said Mike Horsley, CEO at VAvox.

MeetingServer allows VAvox to offer a full range of web conferencing features, including whiteboarding, application sharing and presentations as part of the VAvox VQ conferencing solution. VAvox VQ presents users with an integrated "click to call" browser-based solution consisting of data collaboration and video conferencing.

Ease of integration was an important factor for VAvox. "It was easy for our engineers to incorporate the MeetingServer interface within our product - the entire process took less than two weeks, including integrating user authentication with our existing system," said Horsley. "When we've had questions, the support team at Data Connection has been outstanding."

VAvox VQ has been selected for a significant UK education project that will be announced later this month.
