Users with a supported device can access the following directly from their phones:

• Visual Voicemail – shows users their voicemails and transcribed voicemails (speech-to-text) in an on-screen list and allows them to listen, view and manage audio and transcribed voicemails without having to navigate through interactive voice recognition menus (IVR) or key-press menus (DTMF commands). 
• Network Contacts – enables users to use and update their CommPortal contact list directly from their phone handset.
• Network Call Lists – displays missed, dialed, received and rejected calls, allowing the user to return calls with a single key press.
• Hot Desking – allows users to log on and off from individual phone handsets, simply by entering their phone number and password.
• Service Provisioning – empowers small business administrators to add new phone handsets to their Business Group via an on-phone UI, reducing the need to visit customer premises to turn up a new device, and allowing you to stop tracking the MAC addresses of managed phones.

A range of new Phone Applications brings the most often-used CommPortal features directly to the screens of high-end SIP phones. Particularly when deployed together with the MetaView SIP Provisioning Server, this delivers a powerful and integrated package for your valuable business customers.

CommPortal Phone Applications are integrated with CommPortal Phone Configurator, helping you and your users deploy them easily. As a result, Business Group Administrators or end-users can log in to the Phone Configurator user interface and assign the new applications to unused softkeys on their phone.
