Integrated Softswitch

The Integrated Softswitch offers a compact, self-contained solution for small to medium scale Class 4 or Class 5 switch replacement or for VoIP service delivery.  Based on a combination of selected MetaSphere telephony applications running directly on processor blades in the Universal Media Gateway platform, the Integrated Softswitch is highly cost-effective and exceptionally simple to deploy.

Universal Media Gateway

Our highly scalable trunking media gateway (IMS-MGW) provides circuit to packet conversion while transitioning in-band TDM signaling to its IP counterpart.  As carriers drive towards all-IP infrastructures, these media gateways provide a scalable and cost-effective way to leverage legacy circuit switch devices, protecting the huge investment large operators have made in this established technology.  With independent H.248 / MGCP media gateway control, our solutions also meet the requirements of network infrastructures built on IMS core components.

Media Resource Server

The Media Resource Server provides an IMS-optimized media resource function (MRF) across all network infrastructures, including wireline, wireless, broadband, cable or satellite.  Designed for scalability and resiliency, the MRS has been purpose-built to deliver media resource functions for MetaSphere telephony application server deployments. Optimized for advanced NGN VoIP infrastructures, the MRS uses the ubiquitous session initiation protocol (SIP) combined with the powerful but efficient media server markup language (MSML) to deliver customizable, multi-service audio features.

IMS components
