New England CLEC Deploys MetaSwitch Next Generation Class 5 Switch; Massachusetts-based BrahmaCom Impressed by MetaSwitch Quality and Support
NEEDHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 11, 2002--BrahmaCom, a facilities-based alternative local telephone service provider, announced today that it has successfully deployed the MetaSwitch VP3500 Next Generation Class 5 Switch in its Needham, MA switching center.
The switch installation was straightforward, enabling BrahmaCom to easily offer services to residential and small business customers in the Boston suburbs of Brookline, Framingham and Natick and in several residential buildings in downtown Boston.

BrahmaCom is using the MetaSwitch VP3500 to deliver local service to residential and small business customers over broadband access lines. Initially targeting 30 communities in Massachusetts, BrahmaCom plans to leverage the VP3500's packet voice capabilities to expand into other states along the Eastern seaboard.
