Wireless Voicemail Evolution

Overview

Voicemail is an essential service for mobile voice users. Enabling callers to leave voice messages provides a means of contact when cell phones are turned off or out of coverage, and drives airtime minutes of use for calls back to message depositors.

Legacy voicemail systems are often costly to maintain, difficult to scale, and lack the ability to evolve to support next-generation capabilities such as unified mailboxes, Web Services APIs and wideband voice. Metaswitch’s Voicemail Evolution solution for wireless service providers addresses all of those issues.

MetaSphere Voicemail is based on a proven SIP application server architecture which uses commercial off-the-shelf hardware and scales to many tens of millions of users. It may be deployed directly connected to IMS core networks, SIP-based VoIP backbone networks or to circuit-switched networks, using the MG3510 Universal Media Gateway.

With many millions of mailboxes deployed, Metaswitch is the premier supplier of next-generation voicemail systems.
