Martin Lund joined Metaswitch in 2015 as Chief Executive Officer. Lund is leading Metaswitch into its next phase of growth, building on the momentum in its solutions for mobile, fixed-line, business, and core networks.

Lund joined Metaswitch from Cadence Design Systems, where he served as senior vice president and general manager of the company's IP Group since 2012. Prior to that, he held a number of top management positions during a 12-year tenure at Broadcom, including senior vice president and general manager of the Network Switching Business. He earlier served in engineering leadership roles at Intel.

Lund holds a degree in electronic engineering from Frederiksberg Technical College and Risø National Laboratory at the Technical University of Denmark in Copenhagen.

Mr. Cronan joined Metaswitch in 2011, with more than twenty years experience from publicly traded and privately held technology companies.

Most recently he served as chief financial officer of Aviat Networks, Inc., a leader in wireless transmission solutions. From 2003 to 2007, Mr. Cronan served as the senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer at Redback Networks Inc., where he created a period of sustained revenue growth and, ultimately, the sale of Redback in 2007 to Ericsson for $2.1 billion.

Mr. Cronan has also served as the chief financial officer at AeroScount, Inc. and Ooma, Inc., acted as in-house legal counsel for high technology companies such as IBM, and OpenTV, and as special counsel in the Technology Licensing group at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati. Mr. Cronan holds a B.S. from Muhlenberg College and a J.D. from Fordham Law School.

Ian Maclean is responsible for driving Metaswitch’s growth by defining product and marketing strategies that capitalize on major industry trends and leverage the company's intrinsic strengths in engineering excellence and product quality. Ian's role at Metaswitch includes leadership for all global marketing activities as well as product management, product marketing and corporate communications functions.
Before joining Metaswitch in June 2016, Maclean was Chief Operating Officer at Tango Networks. Prior to that, he held executive leadership roles in strategy, sales and marketing and product management at Mavenir Systems.
With more than 24 years of international telecom industry experience, Maclean is an accomplished executive who has a deep understanding of market trends and technology evolution that bridges the worlds of telecom, software and cloud.

Roger has been in the industry for over 20 years and brings a wealth of experience and proven success.
Previously he was EVP of Worldwide Sales and Services at Tellabs/Coriant where he led global sales of $1B and a global sales team selling to 43 of the top 50 global services providers. Roger was instrumental in the successful sale of Tellabs to Private Equity.
Prior to this, he was President of the Core Business Unit at Alcatel Lucent where he led the mobile and fixed IMS strategies that led to winning Lucent’s first IMS customers and was key to the sale of Lucent to Alcatel.

Martin Taylor is chief technical officer of Metaswitch Networks. He joined the company in 2004, and headed up product management prior to becoming CTO.

Previous roles have included founding CTO at CopperCom, a pioneer in Voice over DSL, where he led the ATM Forum standards initiative in Loop Emulation; VP of Network Architecture at Madge Networks, where he led the company’s successful strategy in Token Ring switching; and business general manager at GEC-Marconi, where he introduced key innovations in Passive Optical Networking.

Martin has a degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge. In January 2014, Martin was recognized by Light Reading as one of the top five industry “movers and shakers” in Network Functions Virtualization.

Shriraj Gaglani is responsible for accelerating Metaswitch’s business momentum by developing strategic channel partnerships, enabling routes to market for innovation initiatives, and working on potential M&A opportunities.
Previously, Shriraj was head of Global Business Development at Broadcom Corporation, where he created and led the team responsible for driving end user demand & partnerships with the largest Service Providers, Cloud Operators, and Software companies around the world.
As a Product and Strategic Marketing Leader, Shriraj has incubated and launched several new product lines during his tenures at Broadcom, Intel and Maxim Integrated Products.

Henock Gessesse joined Metaswitch in February of 2016 as General Counsel.
Previously, he spent 13 years at Broadcom, most recently as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, with responsibilities including technology transactions, M&A, employment, litigation, and IP matters for Broadcom’s Infrastructure Network Group.
His previous legal experience includes Cyras Corp, where he was corporate counsel and worked on its sale to Ciena Corp; senior technology transactions and IP counsel at Brobeck, Phleger, & Harrison; and patent counsel attorney at Blakely, Sokoloff Taylor & Zafman.
Prior to working as an attorney, Henock was an engineer at Intel. Henock holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from U.C. Berkeley and a J.D. from Georgetown University.

Justine leads our Global Human Resources organization. Having held a variety of HR roles within the company, she focuses on innovative HR practises while also nurturing and developing Metaswitch’s dynamic, inclusive and supportive culture.
Justine graduated with a degree in Geography from University College, London University and has a post-graduate qualification in Human Resources from Kingston University. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and serves on the Diversity Leadership Group at the Royal Academy of Engineering in London.

Having joined Metaswitch more than 10 years ago, Alastair is responsible for engineering Metaswitch's solutions and the technology required to build them.
Previously, Alastair led the product management and product marketing teams for all carrier products, and the engineering team responsible for all product development on SIP infrastructure products – including the Perimeta SBC, as well as new hardware projects including the evolution of the Metaswitch UMG platform.
Though now based in Edinburgh, Scotland, Alastair spent 3 years in the US, running first line customer support for the Eastern and Central regions of the US and Canada. Alastair graduated from the University of Cambridge with degrees in Genetics and Computer Science.

For over 15 years, Neil Cavezza has successfully driven revenue growth and innovation efforts at leading global technology and medical companies. Neil’s expertise lies in operations, product marketing, portfolio management and program management. He possesses deep experience managing software, analytics, service and solution businesses.

Neil was recently the Vice President of Product and Portfolio Operations at MobileIron, a $364 million cybersecurity company where he lead portfolio management and investment planning for a $60 million R&D organization. Previously, he served as Vice President of Marketing Operations at Intel, a global $164 billion semiconductor and technology company where he led the product portfolio management and governance function for a $100 million R&D unit. Neil also led the PMO function at Wind River, a $800 million software and services company.

Neil has also acquired extensive medical technology experience. He held several leadership roles in Product and Program Management for Neoforma, a $133 million supply chain management technology company. Neil has also held key product development and management responsibilities at Accuray, a $324 million medical device company and Varian, a $9.4 billion medical device company.

Neil holds a B.A. in Information Technology from Rutgers University and the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). He has been a guest lecturer at Santa Clara University on the topic of Product Portfolio Management and Project Management. He has also served as a Board Member for Family and Children's Services in Palo Alto, California.

Dave Reekie is responsible for leading Metaswitch's cutting edge research and driving industry innovation through new technology.

Reekie began his Metaswitch career in 1993 and was one of the small group of talented engineers that designed the original Metaswitch system architecture. Alongside managing Product and Engineering teams, he focuses on technical and business innovation. Having conceived the revolutionary big data MetaView Service Assurance Server and built-for-the-cloud Project Clearwater, his current focus is on achieving the best business benefits from the technical possibilities afforded by an all-software network.

Reekie graduated with a first class degree in Engineering from Cambridge University.

Stuart Warwick joined Metaswitch in 1999 and currently runs Metaswitch’s support organisation.
Stuart has had a varied career including software development, professional services and systems engineering. He spent four years in San Francisco as a Customer Support Manager getting to know the West Coast and Mountain states very well. He was until recently based in Enfield running the Level 3 Support team.
Stuart graduated from Oxford University with a BA, MA and DPhil in Biological Sciences. He lives in a Cotswold village in rural Oxfordshire and when he’s not at work he spends his time chasing after his three young and very energetic sons.

Deep Shah is a Co-President with Francisco Partners, and operates from the firm’s London office where he leads European investing activities.

Jason Brein is a Principal with Francisco Partners, a technology-focused private investment firm.
Prior to joining Francisco Partners in 2012, Jason was a digital media investor at Elevation Partners, a Silicon Valley-based investment firm. Prior to Elevation, Jason worked at Goldman Sachs in New York, where he helped facilitate M&A and financing transactions.
Jason earned his MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a George F. Baker Scholar. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Princeton University, from which he graduated with Phi Beta Kappa honors.

Jim Goetz is a Partner at Sequoia Capital.
He has helped create and grow a number of technology companies and product lines to market leading positions both as an entrepreneur and as an investor. He currently leads Sequoia's investments in Appirio, Barracuda (CUDA), Carbon3D, Chartboost, Drawbridge, Jive (JIVE), Metaswitch, Nimble Storage (NMBL), Palo Alto Networks (PANW), Pocket Gems, Sencha and Yik Yak.

Steve Mullaney served as Senior Vice President and General Manager at VMware, Inc. through end September 2014. Previously, Steve served as CEO of Nicira Inc. until their 2012 acquisition by VMware.
Steve’s experience spans more than 25 years in a variety of executive management, marketing and engineering roles at successful companies like Palo Alto Networks, Blue Coat Systems, Force10 Networks, ShoreTel, Bay Networks and SynOptics.
He has been a Director of Metaswitch Networks since August 2014 and holds a BSEE from the University of Rhode Island.

Ian S Ferguson founded Metaswitch Networks (then Data Connection) in 1981, and led the development of the company, as Chairman and CEO, until 2008.
His current role is Chairman of the Trustees of the company’s Employee Benefit Trust, which is a significant shareholder and acts in the interests of all employees. He represents the Employee Benefit Trust on the Board.
As a manager, accountant, salesman and leader, he believes in ability, effort, reward, people - and fun. Above all, the company has developed under his guidance to create commercial success and share the reward equitably; do the difficult things - well; concentrate on people and their development be an open, unpoliced, responsible, communicative society; continue and thrive with a senior management team committed to stable, long-term growth.
He is also actively involved in education with the UK Government, and sits on National Boards, where his interests lie in improving funding and support for disadvantaged children, as well as improving work-based learning programmes, including Apprenticeships. His contributions in this area were recognised by Queen Elizabeth II in 2005 with the award of Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE).

Graeme graduated in Computer Science at the University of Glasgow, and joined Metaswitch as a software engineer in 1985.

He performed a succession of key roles at Metaswitch, including holding executive responsibility for R&D, Post-sales Support and Professional Services.

Graham now serves on the Metaswitch Board of Directors.

With a global remit and perspective, he still calls home a small farm in the Pentland Hills in Scotland, reminds people that it’s "Edin-burra" not "Edin-berg", is an expert mole-catcher and speaks three languages, none of them English.
