Leading fiber-based technology solutions service provider builds hosted voice service on premier UC platform

Metaswitch Forum 2012, Orlando, FL, October 3, 2012 - Metaswitch Networks, a leading provider of the software and solutions that power a whole new generation of communications services, today announced its selection as the infrastructure and application partner behind Integra Telecom’s new Hosted Voice Service.  Integra chose Metaswitch because of its ability to help deliver a superior user experience through a broad range of rich service features, high system reliability and straightforward integration with Integra’s existing infrastructure.

“Metaswitch serves as a meaningful partner in differentiating us in the marketplace and upholding our reputation for delivering the superior customer service for which we are known to deliver,” said Joe Harding, senior vice president of marketing at Integra Telecom.  “We know that excellent service leads to long-term partnerships with our business customers.  Metaswitch understands and shares these values, and we’re excited by the future of our Hosted Voice Service and the underlying technology powered by Metaswitch.”

With Metaswitch products already deployed for its SIP-based services, Integra saw the engineering and operational logic of extending its Metaswitch investment for its new Hosted Voice Service.  Metaswitch’s relentless focus on system and service manageability reinforced the decision.

“Integra is a fine example of a service provider that truly values the customer and is gaining the rewards from its commitment to expansion of a comprehensive communications portfolio,” said John Lazar, CEO at Metaswitch.  “We stand ready to carry out our part in an exciting team that will deliver innovative, readily available services to business customers.”

Integra Telecom’s Hosted Voice Service launched this week, coinciding with the Metaswitch Forum 2012.  Today Joe Harding is a speaker on the Industry Panel, a featured session at the Forum.
