Network operators want to take advantage of the flexibility, cost savings and increased agility that Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) offers them. However, they still need to provide traditional “telco-grade” services, including offering their end-users SLAs of five-nines availability or higher with strict call cutoff targets. Providing telco-grade services in the cloud presents a technical challenge but is achievable.
