What is it?
The MG6010 and MG6050 are mid to high-density access and trunking gateways that serve as a critical component in integrated Class 4/5 migration strategies, while acting as a vital circuit to packet switched transitional network element in NGN and IMS carrier infrastructures. Our solution includes both access and media gateway control functions (MGCF/AGCF) to complete the PSTN emulation subsystem (PES).
How do we help?
As network operators have moved to modernize their core switch and services infrastructure, they have maintained their extensive investments in access transport equipment. In fixed-line, mobile and cable networks, our Media Gateways (MGWs) have facilitated the smooth migration of thousands of legacy TDM voice switches to SIP-centric packet softswitches, while maintaining service continuity and resiliency.
When to contact us.
Our portfolio of Media Gateways have been proven in Class 5 migration, SS7 and ISDN to IP multi-service signaling, IMS trunking and PacketCable VoIP infrastructures. Along with the MetaSphere CFS, they create highly resilient distributed softswitches that serve billions of switched voice minutes every month. If you are replacing TDM infrastructure or upgrading an outdated VoIP network, get in touch.
