What is it?
Underutilized 18 MHz, 2.3 GHz, 3.8-4.2 GHz and 26 GHz bands in the UK have been designated by the Office of Communications (Ofcom) as shared access spectrum. Through a manual application process, there are low-power and medium-power based station licenses available by 50-meter radius areas. Intended for localized service, the primary applications are rural fixed wireless access and in-building coverage for industry 4.0.
