Metaswitch Appoints Steve Mullaney to Board of Directors

Former Nicira CEO brings his broad experience in cloud computing, virtualization and network security to Metaswitch

 

LONDON -- August 5, 2014 -- Metaswitch Networks today announced that Steve Mullaney,  senior vice president and general manager of VMware’s Networking and Security Business Unit, has joined its board of directors.

Mullaney was the CEO of Nicira Inc. from 2009 to 2012, when VMware bought the company for $1.26 billion. Prior to Nicira, Mullaney was a veteran of Palo Alto Networks, Blue Coat Systems, Force10 Networks and others, where he worked for more than 25 years in a variety of marketing, product management and engineering roles. He holds a BSEE from the University of Rhode Island.
