MetaSwitch Expands in San Francisco Bay Area

New office doubles West Coast presence, adds custom-built Training Center

Alameda, CA: March 16, 2005. MetaSwitch today announced that it has relocated its West Coast offices in order to accommodate the rapid growth experienced by the next generation telecom equipment vendor over the last 12 months. More than double the size of the company's previous location, the new premises in Alameda, California include a custom-built Demo Lab and Training Center.

MetaSwitch's leading-edge technology, known as a "Class 5 Softswitch", enables service providers to deliver traditional phone lines more cost-effectively, and to introduce new services such as Voice over IP and Web-based access to subscribers' phone settings and voicemails. Over the last 12 months, the company has seen strong demand for its products from independent and competitive telephone companies across North America, establishing a leadership position in those markets.

"In response to our significant success, MetaSwitch has been steadily growing our support, sales and marketing teams over the last year," said Andy Randall, MetaSwitch Vice President responsible for the company's West Coast operations. "This new office provides room for continued growth, as well as adding superb demonstration and training facilities for our customers."

"We are pleased to welcome MetaSwitch to the Marina Village business park," said Peter Edelen, Marina Village Leasing Manager. "MetaSwitch is one of a growing number of successful companies that are relocating to Marina Village to benefit from the combination of quality Class A office space and office tech buildings, a wide range of local amenities and services and excellent access to the East Bay Market."

Following the move, MetaSwitch's mailing address has changed to 1001 Marina Village Pkwy, Suite 100, Alameda, California 94501. The telephone number remains unchanged at 510 748 8230.
