MetaSwitch Expands Support Facilities for Asia Pacific Customers

New offices in Australia extend time zone coverage

Honolulu, HI: January 15, 2008. MetaSwitch today announced at the Pacific Telecommunications Council, PTC '08, that it has opened new support facilities in Sydney, Australia, to better support the growing number of customers in the Asia-Pacific region. Initially staffed by experienced support personnel transferred from MetaSwitch's California office, the additional facilities form the basis of a long-term presence in the region.

"We have been thrilled by the expansion of our business in the Asia-Pacific region, including the recent deployment by Cable & Wireless in Diego Garcia," said John Palombo, senior vice president of customer support at MetaSwitch. "We look forward to growing our customer base and support team in the region as the market develops."

MetaSwitch's softswitch and applications solutions are designed to address the real-world challenges that carriers are facing in all regions: how to introduce new revenue-generating services into hybrid legacy and next-generation network environments. The company's service and support teams are committed to offering the highest level of support possible with each interaction.

"As a new user of MetaSwitch equipment, we are pleased with the demonstrated commitment by MetaSwitch to enhance the already strong support for its equipment and clients in the Asia-Pacific region," said Harry Johnston, Director of Service and Operations, Sandwich Isles Communications, Inc.
