Third Annual MetaSwitch Forum Attracts Record Carrier Attendance

Conference Held in Dallas, Texas Focuses on Technology and Business Trends

Alameda, CA: March 14, 2006. MetaSwitch underscored its tremendous growth over the last twelve months with the third annual MetaSwitch Forum, held in Dallas, Texas, March 6-9, 2006. More than 160 telecommunications industry leaders from the United States, Canada and the Caribbean participated in three days of technical and business track sessions reflecting the conference theme of "Beyond Technology: Building the Next-Generation Business."

Conference sessions at the Westin Stonebriar Resort included keynotes from distinguished industry visionaries, a detailed preview of upcoming product releases, technology training, a review of best practices for marketing new services leveraging the MetaSwitch platform, demonstrations of new features and management tools, presentations from strategic partners, and "birds of a feather" discussion groups. After-hours entertainment ranged from golf and horse-riding to a barbecue and casino evening at the world-famous Southfork Ranch, location of the hit TV series Dallas.

During the MetaSwitch Forum, the independent MetaSwitch User Group held its annual meeting and elected a new Board along with various committees to focus on specific areas of interest, including the establishment of an IP peering network. Jim Funk of Tri-County Telephone (Wyoming) was elected to take over the reins as Board Chairman from Donny Smith of Jaguar Communications (Minnesota), who stepped down after two years' service.

"It was exciting just to come and experience the momentum that is building behind MetaSwitch," said Funk. "I am honored to be able to serve the growing community of service providers who are successfully deploying innovative services with MetaSwitch's class-leading technology."

"We have built an incredibly strong base over the past year, with more than 200 carrier deployments now powered by MetaSwitch," said John Lazar, MetaSwitch CEO. "This was a fantastic opportunity to be able to present, and get positive feedback on, our strong vision for the future - a vision that is tied to massive ongoing investment in our technology and organization to ensure we continue to scale in line with accelerating growth over the coming year."
