Metaswitch names Board Chairman, John Lazar, as CEO
Company builds on strengths of Lazar and DeNuccio to further business strategy
San Francisco, CA and London, UK, June 13, 2012 - Metaswitch Networks, a leading supplier of communications technologies to network service providers, today announced that John Lazar will return to his role as CEO. In parallel, outgoing CEO, Kevin DeNuccio, will continue to assess strategic initiatives that can complement Metaswitch's core business plan and product portfolio. Both executives will remain on the Board of Directors.

John Lazar's career spans roles in engineering, support, sales, marketing, and general management. He was a key member of the founding team that established the company's carrier division in North America in 2000. Prior to joining Metaswitch, he graduated from the University of Oxford, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar, with a Master's degree in computer science and a doctorate in history. John was previously CEO of Metaswitch through February 2010, and subsequently Chairman of the Metaswitch Board.
