Rapidly changing business dynamics are affecting the way the employees interact with colleagues and customers. Always-on philosophies are countered by the desire for an appropriate work-life balance, so enterprises are increasingly recognizing the value of flexible working and hiring the best staff, regardless of their location.

Meanwhile, cost-conscious executives want to minimize travel expenses without negatively impacting employee and client face-time. Add to this the desire to support more efficient ad-hoc client and team gatherings and you get an environment where IT managers and CIOs are under increasing pressure to deliver reliable, scalable, cost-effective and user-friendly collaboration tools to improve accessibility and productivity.

Solution description

With Accession Communicator, a cross-platform UC client for mobile and desktop, network operators can deliver powerful business telephony services directly to an end user’s PC, laptop, tablet or cell phone over any broadband network, whether that network is fixed-line or wireless; public or private.

Accession Communicator allows employees to connect with their colleagues and customers from wherever they are and in their preferred way, with rich communications features including integrated video calling, instant messaging, file sharing and presence.

No matter where they are or which device they are using, Accession Communicator gives enterprise users all the same business class services they currently get from a desk phone, such as dialing plans, ACD hunt groups, Call Hold, Call Transfer, Call Park / Pickup, 3-way calling, click-to-dial and conferencing.

Accession Communicator makes it more convenient for employees to use their personal mobile devices for work. Individuals can install Accession Communicator on their own mobile device and pair the application with their business phone line, enabling them to make and receive calls using both the paired business line and the device’s native phone number. Outside of work hours, they can easily forward business calls to voicemail or a colleague, so as not to be disturbed.

With Accession Meeting, a 100% cloud-based conferencing application, network operators can address the conferencing demands of enterprise customers without the usual deployment challenges. Accession Meeting provides a comprehensive collaboration environment that scales from SOHO to F500 business without the need to install any hardware infrastructure or applications in the CO, data center, or customer premises. Network operators can deploy Accession Meeting as a stand-alone conferencing application or integrated with Accession Communicator for a complete unified communications and collaboration (UC&C) experience.

Accession Meeting supports conferences with up to 200 participants. Users can start conference sessions ad-hoc (by 1-click uplift from calls or IM sessions in Accession Communicator) or by scheduling a meeting with internal or external corporate contacts (with integration with Microsoft Outlook). When in a meeting, the organizer and attendees can see video conference participants and share desktops or documents. Other capabilities include webinar hosting, desktop remote control, built-in call recording, and integration with H.323 and SIP conference room systems.
