EANTC’s white paper documenting the contents and success of the interoperability testing in detail can be found here: [http://www.eantc.com/nfv2013](http://www.eantc.com/nfv2013).  "We organized the NFV World Showcase to validate operational use cases for the deployment of network functions virtualization technologies," says Carsten Rossenhoevel, managing director of EANTC. "Metaswitch's Perimeta Session Border Controller successfully participated in our showcase, implementing the instantiation, provisioning, portability and elasticity requirements of a major carrier in a real-world NFV deployment scenario." “BT are pleased to see Metaswitch's Perimeta SBC among the technologies shown in EANTC's NFV World Showcase, and to see it working within the independent EANTC test environment,” said Peter Willis, BT’s chief data networks strategist.  “BT appreciates the work of all the companies that are participating in these multivendor test beds and proof-of-concept demonstrations as it proves that NFV is becoming a reality today. BT applauds all the vendors working together to demonstrate a multi-vendor vision of the future.” Perimeta is a software-centric solution, able to run on standard commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware and, as shown in EANTC’s test, even virtualized in the cloud. It is a critical component in the march toward network functions virtualization (NFV) and in helping to transition network operators into true software telcos.
