EarthLink, Inc., a premier communications and IT services provider with more than1.6 million customers, has selected Metaswitch Networks to power the multimedia telephony features for their EarthLink Complete™suite of business voice, data and Internet solutions. Launched this week in a nationwide rollout, the offering builds on Metaswitch’s MetaSphere Multimedia Telephony Application Server (MTAS) to provide the latest in hosted PBX and SIP trunking services over EarthLink’s state-of-the-art IP infrastructure.

Embracing the trend towards employee mobility, presence, instant messaging and high definition voice/video, the Metaswitch product portfolio of unified communications clients and softphones allow EarthLink to twin desk phones with mobile handsets and PCs, expanding the reach of office extensions while providing a complete multimedia telephony experience.
